Back in 2008 I walked part of the Camino, the pilgrim trail in Northern Spain. Spent a fun filled night in Ventosa with a fun bunch of pilgrims including a man from the Basque region who had walked 40 km that day (compared to my 20) but at bed time in the shared dormitory insisted that the upstairs window be closed firmly. 'Like do the wolves here scale ivy?' said I, or words to that effect. I could never get over the European fixation with stifling at night. Anyway, like every village on the pilgrim trail, Ventosa had quite a nice stone church. Today, in a much more mundane life, I went to Bunnings for some essential tree lopping/pruning supplies and while I was there bought myself a piece on Balsa wood and made a print of the church in Ventosa. Lovely and soft wood. As they say in the classics - 'You could carve it with your dick.' Should plant an entire garden of it.
